2nd Saturday Artist Market is expanding!!

The next 2nd Saturday Artist Market is June 13, which if you've been paying attention you'll know is the same weekend as Studio Stroll in the neighboring River Arts District. In anticipation of great crowds all over the area, we're expanding the 2nd Saturday Artist Market in several ways:

* 10x10 tented booth fees are now just $30: 2 artists may share a space, but at least one of you needs to have the tent

* un-tented 'table' space is now available: as long as the sun is shining, we'll try to make room for everyone we can, so if you've been interested in applying to the Market but daunted by lack of tent, fear not! For the June Market, you need only have a table, and like the booth spaces, two artists may share a 6' table. Table space is $20. If it goes well in June, we may keep doing it throughout the season.

We'll be keeping the application process open until we just can't fit in any more vendors, and once you've been juried in, you may simply submit your request to participate in future Markets.

Go to the event blog for Market applications - the table space feature is brand new, so if you don't see it on the application form, just write it in. And if you have any questions, email 'info' at 'crazygreenstudios.com'.

And if you're not vending in one of these great Markets - get out and visit them all! You'll be surprised and thrilled to discover the range of products and resources available right here in Asheville, produced by your very own neighbors!

2nd Saturday Artist Market - June 13 Market has space!

Artists, Craftspeople, Musicians - booth spaces are still available for the June 13 Market. Our June Market coincides with Studio Stroll, which is just across the river, so we're pitching our tents, planting our flags and inviting everyone to extend the party into East West Asheville!

10x10 Booth space is $30, and two vendors can share a booth. One of you needs to have a tent, however, so we can all be safe from sun or rain. Click on the image above or on the sidebar and go to the blog site for applications and other event information.

Mountin' Hopes will be our guests in the Community Booth in June, but there are other months available. If you have or know of a community organization who would benefit from being at the Market, this booth is donated for their use and they only need contact Lori 'at' crazygreenstudios.com to get on the schedule.

Introducing the Asheville People's Market

The Asheville People's Market will be open every Sunday, June through October from 11am to 4pm in the Parking Lot across from Rosetta's Kitchen (Broadway's, Nova, the Emerald Lounge, and TV Eye) at 93 N. Lexington Ave. Parking is available near the Food Lion skate park and under the 240 overpass bridge, and on the street on Lexington Ave.

In the spirit of the markets of the world and the generations, i proudly introduce, The Asheville People's Market. It is a flea-market style place to buy art, crafts, and homemade items from Asheville artists as well as bartering for and haggling over for yard sale items, lost treasures, and other peoples un-loved functionals. It is also the place for spending a social Sunday shopping outside of the typical consumer loop.

So bring the kids, the old folk, a sun hat, a few bucks, and come on down to see what treasure you might dig up and what necessities you can skip at the big box stores! Keep it local, Keep it real!

Vendor spaces will be available for 10$, on a first come first serve basis and are open to arts, crafts, handmades, and personal used yard sale and flea market items. We will judge re-sale vendors and informational tables on a individual basis. For more detailed information, or any questions or comments, please e-mail me at rosettastarshine@gmail.com

Whooo Hoooo, this will be so much fun!
Love, Rosetta Star
