Saturday & Sunday, June 20-21: Markets abound!!!

The rains have stopped and the sun is back out - a perfect weekend for checking out two awesome ongoing Markets in Asheville. And if you're looking for a unique last-minute Dad's Day gift or if you just want to a nice slice of what's going on in Asheville, you'll find unlimited options at one of these great events:

See a wide range of artists, crafters and designers, get a snack from Bouchon's street food table and hear music by Kip and his band Rubber Cushions! Saturday, 11-4 (if the sun stays out, they'll go later!)

This month's Market features 20 artists and indie crafters - about half are returning and half new, so you know you'll find something new and exciting! Right next to Short Street Cakes for your sweet tooth stop: Saturday from 11am - 4pm.

On Sunday, the people are gathering at the Asheville People's Market! Buy, barter, swap - it's all happening in the lot across from Rosetta's Kitchen (and while you're there, check out the great garden that's growing under the overpass!). Sunday, starting at 11am.

Lexington Bazaar Grand Opening Saturday!!!

The Lexington Avenue 'Bizarre' Bazaar - your Funky Outdoor Market - opens Saturday, March 23. The party gets started at 11am and goes till 4pm.

Where? Lexington Park Courtyard (entrance next to Virtue) nestled between North Lexington Ave and Carolina Lane in downtown Asheville. Click on the image above and you'll find a map at the event blog site.

What will you find? Indie artists, crafters and designers, selling direct to YOU - no middle man, no mark ups. Straight from the source!

After the grand opening celebration, the Lexington Bazaar will continue every first and third Saturday (weather permitting) through October.

The grand opening celebration will also feature music from acoustic indie/funk trio Now You See Them, and delicious crepes & frites (that's fries!) from Bouchon.

Booth fee proceeds from the first three Lexington Bazaar's will benefit the Asheville Mural Project.

So come on down - soak in the sun, look fly and shop yourself happy!!
